Access to funding helps students develop specialist skills. Through the Vice-Chancellor’s & Student Development Fund, Keira completed a Haute Couture embroidery course that enhanced her dissertation project.

QMUEmpower supports student wellbeing and successful transitions into university life. Through access to student support services, including counselling and wellbeing programmes, Veronica was able to overcome challenges, settle into university life and thrive in a new environment.

QMUEmpower opens doors to funding, opportunities and practical support that help students turn ideas into reality and develop real-world experience. Through QMUEmpower, James accessed vital funding that enabled him to turn his creative ideas into action and launch the Gateway Writing Festival.

Accessible, inclusive support is central to QMUEmpower. Through QMU’s Disability Service, Charlotte received tailored guidance and advocacy that helped remove barriers to learning and enabled her to reach her full potential.

Gaining a global outlook is a key part of the QMUEmpower experience. Through an international exchange, Badri developed independence, confidence and new perspectives by living and studying abroad.

QMUEmpower gives students the flexibility and support to design learning that fits their ambitions. Through the Student-Initiated Module, Rhona worked collaboratively to develop a creative project that evolved into Mary: A Gig Theatre Show, which she performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

QMU empowers students to take ownership of their learning and career development. By securing a project-based Master’s thesis, Jeremy gained hands-on consultancy experience with a professional sports organisation and built confidence for life beyond 17³Ô¹ÏÍø.
