Core to your studies as a Postgraduate student is your use of Canvas, QMU’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Each week as PG students, you will access your weekly digital resource which is further enhanced through the seminar programme delivered on campus.
Access to Canvas, where you can also find the Student Handbook, is granted upon matriculation.

Each module is 15 credits, which equates to 150 hours of learning. Courses labelled below with an asterisk (*) count for 20 credits, which equates to 200 hours of learning. The Capstone choice represents a 60 credit module (600 hours of learning).

Indicative* Postgraduate Timetable
Postgraduate Students within the Business School take four modules per week plus a module on their Research Project or Dissertation. Each session is two hours long. Additional learning materials are provided on Canvas, QMU’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).

*This indicative timetable has been created to show what an average Postgraduate week can look like. We try, wherever possible, to teach over two days, leaving the other days free for directed and student-initiated learning.
Education in Scotland is designed to reflect the degree of complexity and depth of learning. Each level is mapped to , and Masters students learn and are assessed at Level 11. It is important that you as a Masters student understand what this means and how this will impact your studies.
